Real Life Tracking

I drove into the office today for work, so naturally, after putting in a full day's work, I'm fried. As soon as I get home, I make a beeline for sofa and ottoman. Calgon, take me away! My husband was at the ready to make dinner. He rifled off a few options. The brats and tots sounded most appealing, but that alone would break my freggie rule (I try to have at least one serving at each meal...and tots don't count, not even my beloved Crispy Crowns). So, I wake briefly from my post-work-day haze to peruse my trusty tracker. This morning, I made some adjustments to the spark menu and came up with zucchini, couscous, fish, and a blood orange for dinner. I should have rescinded my emphatic applause for brats and tots. Couscous and fish is relatively easy to pull off even after a long day at work.

But I didn't.

I did however track it, just like I tracked the 200 calorie spinach, yogurt, strawberry, mango smoothie I had after dinner. The damage? I'm still in my ranges!

Shortly after dinner, when I should be getting ready to work out, I start nodding off and head to bed with every intention of sleeping through the night. My cat would have none of it! She was purring, rubbing into things, and just basically being a noise maker until I got up. She doesn't want to miss dinner! So now that I'm up and it's 10 p.m, I'm going to fuel up on water because I feel a headache coming on. Then, I think I might love myself by completing day's scheduled work out I tried to sleep through. Wouldn't that be a great way to end the day?
