We're over it. Slowing bring back in solid foods starting tomorrow.
The Good Stuff:
We feel great. High Energy, Mental Clarity. Lost Weight (down 17 pounds this morning)
Feel "rebooted". Broke bad food cravings. Ready to make healthy food choices.
We miss eating food. We're not really feeling soooo hungry, but food is really starting to sound good again. Really good. Also, in order to workout harder, we need to start eating. It's time. We are so tired of spending 2+ hours a night juicing enough for the two of us to drink the next day. My hands are so dry from washing the juicer over and over again for 2.5 weeks.
So, that being said, we're ending our juice fast a few days early. This was a good experience. I feel refreshed. I feel like my taste buds have changed and I once again have a taste for healthy foods.
My husband and I were starting our juicing routine tonight and just dreading it. We both agreed that we got exactly what we wanted from the experience but that we're just over it now. We are going to stop while we feel good, before this turns into a negative experience or makes us feel deprived and make us want to over do it when we go back to eating solid foods.
So here's the plan:
Tomorrow for breakfast and lunch we will have juice. For dinner we'll have a small/medium sized salad with a small amount of oil and vinegar, and a half glass of green juice.
Friday: Fruit for breakfast, Juice for lunch, Salad and half glass of green juice
Saturday: Fruit for breakfast, Salad for lunch and dinner and a glass of juice as a supplement
Sunday: Fruit for breakfast, Salad for lunch and dinner and a glass of juice as a supplement.
Monday I'll gradually start bringing back cooked foods like beans and lentils, and toward the end of the week I'll be making the salmon that I can't stop thinking about!
I expect I'll gain a pound or two in the beginning, but I'll also be able to workout harder and more days a week than I have been, so it should all work itself out in a week or so.
