Looking Back and Making STRIDES FOR THE FUTURE

Looking back I hardly recognize that girl anymore.



Who is she?




What kind of an example was she setting for her child?



How did she see herself at that weight? Or did she really see herself at all?



How did her family see her?



This had to have been at my heaviest.
I am not really sure as you when your big you don't want your picture taken.
You don't want to be noticed if you can help it.

I found measurements from around this era. It scared me.

HEAVIEST WEIGHT 265.

January 25, 2007 is the earliest I can find.
Height 5'4"
Bust 48"
Waist 43.25"
Abdomen 54"
Hip 55.5"
Thigh 33.75"
Calf --
Arm 18.25"
Weight 252
Body Fat % 45%

SEVERE DIABETIC.
SEVERE GLAUCOMA.
CANNOT WALK WITHOUT PAIN.
SEVERE (SURGERY NEEDED) CARPAL TUNNEL AND NERVE PAIN.
INFERTILE. NO KNOWN REASON.
TIRES EASY.
DEPRESSED AND RECLUSIVE.

To say the very least...scary.

I felt like giving up.

I really and truly did.

But someone, maybe more than one needed me.



So I continued to try.

I continued to show my Doctor that I was trying and doing all I could within my power to get healthy.

Sometimes all your trying and persevering helps but life sometimes throws a lot of sh*t at you.

My Doctor said I was a caught in a vicious cycle of health cause and affects. The more I tried to help my diabetes, the more it threw me under the bus.

He recommended me for a new trial program and I diligently went and continued doing the best I could.

Day in and day out.

Cause the day you don't try...is the day you die.

I wanted to live.

I was recommended and I received Lap Band Surgery 2 years ago.

It was the best thing for me, for my future.

I continue what I have always done.

Eat right.

Exercise.

The band is a tool. It is not a magic wand.

I have to work with it in order to succeed.

Good for you foods are harder to eat than the ones that are the wrong choice. So don't you dare say I took the easy way out. If anything I work harder today than ever, and that goes for most people out there.

I do kickboxing twice a week.

I do strength training twice a week.

I do Spin and strength once a week.

I do Zumba once a week.

I do Cardio up to 5 times a week.

What do you do? I hope for you and your health you move.

Weight - 188 DOWN 77 LBS
Arm 11.5 DOWN 6.75"
Chest 32 DOWN 16"
waist 30 DOWN 13.25"
hips 42 DOWN 13.5"
thigh 22.5 DOWN 11.25"
calf 12.5 DOWN ?
neck 13 DOWN ?

BODY FAT% DOWN 17.9%



I would say I am making strides towards the future.

In fact I am running to meet it!
