Well, I started my regular routine this week. The area of my life that was the most challenging regarding my healthy choices & exercising commitments is my job. I travel for a living. This was my first week back after the holiday break.
On the morning of my flight, I got up at 2:45 a.m., had my coffee & hit the treadmill for a little over an hour. By the time I had to head to the airport, I had put 5 miles of exercise behind me. I have been maintaining that pace since Dec 28th. Even did strength exercises that morning.
For my trip, I brought my new mini ipad with the full intention of, at least, doing strength training in my hotel room via Spark videos. I knew I would not have time for any cardio activity due to my schedule.
I THOUGHT I would be able to make healthy food choices even though I was entertaining new clients for dinner the first night.
Well, that was a total failure.
But, I am not giving up!!!!! I know I may have to make concessions to maintain my life plan while meeting my employment obligations. And, over time, I will figure out what best works for my situation.
But, I would like to know what has worked for my fellow traveling Sparkers.
How have you made it work for you? What have been your challenges?
