After quite a hiatus, I'm back on track and doing well. This is day three of streak of staying within my calorie range and hitting my daily exercise goals. Yay me. I'm hoping for a good Me-day (weigh in day) on Saturday.
I decided this year to try and do more activities, but that might be about to backfire on me as I now seem over-committed on multiple fronts -- all of which are things that I want to do. Something will have to go before things get too out of control. I've got something going on every night after work and on the weekends for the next 3 weeks. After that, things should settle down a little bit. So that's one of the challenges that I see in my near future. If I'm too busy, then things like exercise and eating right (and cooking at home) might be more challenging. And since I want to set myself up for success -- that's going to require some strategizing.
But fun things that I'm doing include feeding my hunger for learning a new language, working towards another ballroom competition (4 years is a long time ago, and this time I want to be a new level), additionally I recently joined a dance formation team, one of my new years goals was to get more involved with kayaking on a local level, so that's brewing, not to mention my budding photography hobby and working on my book. Plus the other news years resoltuion was to get back into volunteering -- which I went for training at the Aquarium and loved it, but finding the time to squeeze in all of these things is getting tough. Hah. Yes, even I realize I'm a little out of control here. As much as I'd like to believe it -- I'm not superwoman. But it is fun to be involved in life and meeting new people. (Especially since I just moved from out of state 3 months ago).
So I think I may need to find some way to balance all these things that I like doing.
