Ups and Downs

I've got ten minutes or so before I head out for work, so this will be a short blog!
Since I made up my mind to start making better changes - namely the whole exercising thing - things have definitely been changing. I'm happy to report that I have done cardio on the bike for three days in a row! Haha it doesn't sounds like much, but that's something for me! I told myself I could get off the bike as soon as I did five miles. The first day I did it in 25 minutes, and I felt like I was going to die afterward, haha. But the two days after I was able to get through the five miles in the same time frame with significantly less huffing and puffing and dying. I'm thinking tonight I'm going to shoot for five miles in twenty minutes or six miles in twenty five. Baby steps forward. Ideally I would like to get to the point where I can do 15 miles in an hour - and of course I'm seriously thinking about getting to the point where I can start jogging! Outside! Then running! It's exciting to think about.
My whole minute schedule that I outline previously isn't exactly working out, though. Haha. I was a little overzealous at over structuring on that one, and I'm okay with letting a majority of those plans fall to the wayside, as they had no detrimental affect on my current goals. Rather than exercise in the mornings before work, I've found that I prefer jumping on the bike as soon as I get home between midnight and one. This works out because that's usually when my willpower is weak, my cravings strong, and I tend to eat too much of bad things. I actually went WAY over on calories yesterday because my parents brought me home a platter from Chips N' Ales, which had beer battered shrimp, cod, and chicken. SO DELICIOUS! At least I still worked out though, right?
And I'm happy to report that I lost 1 pound in my weekly weigh-in yesterday! That puts me down to 191.2, which is 0.6 pounds lower than where I was on January 1. Hey, I'm still about three pounds or so behind my goal, but I'm in the negative and that makes me happy. Maybe I can catch up by the end of the month, maybe I can't, but I'm sure that now I'm exercising I'm definitely going to start making progress again! As soon as I reign in my eating and get on the bottom of my calorie range rather than the top and exceeding, I think I'll be in pretty darn good shape - the best since September, I think.
Yay progress! Even though I'm still making mistakes, I'm making good progress, too!
Work! Gotta go! I'm sorry about not being able to catch up on everyone else's blogs! I promise after tonight's work out I'll get as caught up as I can! I hope everyone is having a good hump day!
