I'm very pleased that I've lost 8 pounds so far, this time around. Looking at the big picture, though, I'm still heavier than I was the first time I started SP, so I have a lot of work to do. At least I know how to go about it and be successful.
Weight lifting is awesome, even if it's with small dumbbells inside my living room. This morning I got up and lifted first thing, and I felt strong and healthy.
Yesterday, I was informed that I could have 5 more hours a week at my part-time job. The hourly pay isn't huge, but it will add up nicely. I felt good about that.
One of my old jobs, back in the 90's, was working at a health food store. I learned all about nutrients and herbs. I learned what things were good to take for what conditions, and practically memorized "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" while I worked there.
My friend who plays in the symphony with me called me up yesterday, complaining that she was starting to get tendonitis in her right arm. I was at Super Supplements, so I went shopping for her, then met her for dinner at the local Vietnamese restaurant that we both love. It felt good to spread the knowledge of the nutrients that will help her body heal itself. I had been wanting to do something nice for her for a while, and this fit the bill.
I also got three pairs of pants in the mail yesterday that I'd ordered on sale. They fit nicely, and they were really inexpensive. I'm going to have to work hard to wear them out before they're too big for me! Haha.
I hope you all are having good days too.
