Today is the beginning of BLC21. I have joined this team to really be accountable for what I put in my mouth and when.
I have been having a VERY rough week. Things are ALWAYS crazy around here, but this week has just been out of control and so have I.
It started with DS7 getting into a bit of trouble at school on thursday and having to meet with the principal on friday. Then saturday he woke up with a stomach virus. DH has been coughing all week and getting worse every day and that is on top of his other issues . Then sunday night my horse had an upset belly and I had to call the vet. Luckily we caught it early and he recovered quickly. Monday I woke up to meowing and in 17 year old INDOOR cat was OUTSIDE. She must have snuck out while I was checking on the horse at some point. She must have met another cat or a raccoon because she was limping and very lethargic so off to the vet with her too. They treated her monday and took some blood. On tuesday the vet called and asked me to bring her back for more tests and more treatments. I brought her home at the end of the day and today she is looking much better. Meanwhile DS7 still has a fever, but it is only 100.5 today. And of course there is DS4 who is staying healthy, but is ALWAYS a handful.
I am pretty sure that I have consumed thousands upon thousands of calories in the past week. I have not been able to exercise much either although I did make it to class on saturday before I realized DS7 was really sick.
Anyway, I really just had to vent somewhere. I am exhausted and cranky and blue.
I think I am doing alright today. I have been so busy that I have not eaten very much and I went to the vegetable market and bought tons of washed and cut up produce. It is a luxury I allow myself when I need to get in control. I REALLY need to get back in control of myself. No matter how much food I shove in my face at the end of the day, it is NOT going to change the things that are happening around me. It doesn't even make me feel better.
I am planning to have edemame nuggets or tofu strips with a salad tonight for dinner and some fruit for desert. I will do my best not to give in when I am tired at the end of the day. I have to go out one more time to take DS4 to swimming and then I can make dinner, clean up the kitchen and GO TO BED!!!
I have also managed to work some TNT into my day. I think I'll do some leg raises and crunches next. If I'm really good, I will get on the treadmill while DS4 is in the pool at the Y!
