Couple of pictures from my walk at the weekend...

We went to Bostall Woods On Sunday which is near by to us, we just walked to the woods then walked round them. We where a little disappointed to see on the map "Turpin's Cave" but we where unable to find it.

We walked part of the way along The Green Chain Walk, mapped routes across London, I think they can connect up to walk a long way through green spaces.

    I wish my city would link up things like green walks. I can walk along the river in some places, but have to walk along the freeway on part of my walk. Around here if you walk through the woods, the trees are a lot thicker. Did they plant them so far apart, or was that natural. It looks like it would be a cool place to walk in the summer once the trees bloom. Literally, and figuratively. Wide open spaces under the trees. I could sit under the gnarly tree and read.

Beautiful scenery makes walks seem less like exercise, and more fun. Why can't we have both at the same time?

    Love that tree, the more gnarled and twisted they are I like them. This one seems to be reaching for somewhere some point perhpas in the sky.

    adorable hat & lovely scenery! there are walking trails that connect all thru the smoky mountains around here, would love to hike them some day! you can pretty much walk all up and down the east coast of the states!

    That is beautiful! It amazes me how different the vegetation is in Europe. I wish we had forests like that in the states, they really do look enchanted!
