After reviewing last week, I have decided:
My highest priority goal right now is weight loss, so I will focus most of my energy towards that.
I will do 2 days of strength training this week. I will stick with the same 3 exercises and continue to increase reps and sets. This seems to work well for me right now. I plan to get to 3 full sets and then eventually add other exercises to the routine. I am choosing to do only 2 sessions so I can spend more time and energy on cardio for now. Also, this allows me more time to recover in between. I want to build more muscle so I can be stronger and fitter. That payoff will come fairly quickly. I also want to build more muscle so that my body will burn more calories each day, but that is a long term goal/payoff.
I will do cardio 3 times for 20-30 minutes. I will try to do an additional 2 days of cardio, even if I only do 10 minutes on those 2 days. I think that even those extra 10 minutes are important. Let's see if I can fit them in and how it goes. I know I am starting small. There probably isn't a great amount of calorie burn at this level. I need to start from where I am and move forward from here.
I will do the ST and cardio on different days. That works better for me.
I will do some stretching, yoga and foam roller work after each workout. I will do 5 minutes of meditation each day.
I will continue with house work and organizing. It gets me some extra activity and the house is really starting to look better.
I will, of course, continue with the SP participation. I will continue reading positive articles, blogs, books, etc. That's just becoming a habit that I truly enjoy!
Since weight loss is such a high priority for me, I will continue to use the food tracker every day. I will find a good baseline calorie intake that allows me to lose 1#/week. I will play around with the calories, the type of food, etc and figure out exactly what I have to do right now for weight loss.
I don't lose weight on 1200 calories yet. I want to change that. My ultimate goal is to be able to eat a healthy amount of food each day and still lose the weight. So I will be working on figuring out what I need to do to accomplish that!
Here's to a great week!
