"I love you anyway, grandma!" (video)

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

We were talking last night about the kindergarten "tea party", when all the kids got dressed up and parents served them (mini pbj sandwiches, mini cupcakes, and tea or "pretend tea...juice."

I commented on how I loved the pictures of the kindergartners dancing, and they were short and tall, chubby and skinny, black, white, tan...a boy from India, two little girls who are muslims, a small boy who speaks only Spanish fluently. I told Hannah I loved that they were all having fun and all were friends.

Hannah told me everybody's different. Then she said to me: "You're a little bit different from most people, but even if you are short, I love you anyway, grandma!"

No mention of my being 4'-10" and weighing almost 200 lbs., she saw only that I was short. I just love this kid!

Picture of my granddaughter, dancing with the boy in the yellow shirt at the Elegant Tea Party.

Wonderful kid compliment! My youngest GD likes to play with my jiggly upper arms.
I must learn to do something about that. From one of my blogs, "Jiggle, jiggle upper arms, just a part of senior charms . . ." They are so cute! Love those grands!
