Crockpot Mongolian Beef

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Yesterday I finally made Crockpot Mongolian Beef from the Crockpot Lady. It has been on my to try list for over 3 years... emoticon It was pretty good. My taste buds are off and I thought it was missing something but DH is the Mongolian beef expert in the house and actually thought it was better than the local restaurant that we have ordered from for years.

Someone had already entered it into sparkrecipes so here is the link for that. They used a fresh onion but since I think that changes the calories so little I didn't worry about it.

The only negative thing that DH had to say about it was that it needed more meat but I only had just under a pound of meat instead of the 1.5 lbs called for in the recipe so while it was a bit saucy, it wasn't horrible as the sauce then fully coated the broccoli and cauliflower I served it over instead of rice emoticon

I just asked you for the recipe on the What's for Dinner thread and here it is! Thanks for sharing it and also your review of it. I will definitely give it a try since I use my crockpot about once a week and always need new recipes to try!
