Oh so sore....

Well, I'm glad I did my first C25K session yesterday and boy am I sore today. I hope that I'm not so sore tomorrow when I'm supposed to do the 2nd session. SO how do you all relieve sore muscles?

    I always soak in a hot tub with those old people salts (epsom) and it seems to help.

    I love my roller that I got for Christmas! It really helps with the tightness that sometimes accumulates (even though I stretch). I got the Tiger Tail stick, but there are thicker foam rollers out there. Congrats on starting your C25K. I started with that type of program too and run all the time now. Kind of got me hooked :) Good luck!

    I agree that stretching afterwards definitely helps me, and sometimes soaking in a warm bath or using a heating pad. Keep it up!

    S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G after 'after' exercising, will relieve a lot of pain tomorrow! Something we learned at Curves, and it works. Spark has a lot of good ones for any kind of 'after workouts.' emoticon emoticon

    I am sore as well! It feels so good though! And I agree, I find if I keep at it my soreness will go away. I can't wait for spring so I can start the C25K! Only bc I hate the treadmill and need to be outside. Once it starts getting warm enough to tolerate I'll be out on the trails!

    I call it "The Hair of the Dog" I find if I am sore that by doing the exercises again, it loosen up the muscles and the pain is gone. Never, of course, without a day's rest in between. I had another GF complain after a class and gave her my advise - she didn't believe me but came back the next day and could not believe that once she started exercising the muscle cramps/pain went away. What is C25K? emoticon
