What then?

I have reached the maximum level of spark points... and then what? It is silly but collecting points has been one of my motivators to really check in, track, read, write...and suddenly there seem to be no meaning at all in collecting the points for reading an article etc. Not that there really was any but it kept me going. Maybe I should erase the account and start all over...

Actually, my motivation to collect points dropped a lot when I saw that I was earning them but not keeping to sane eating patterns. I made that my goal, and am close to it. Unfortunately, I think Spark gives points for too many things that don't end up leading to eating changes, though I love the concept. Too many points for reading and posting; not enough for eating and movement behavior changes.

But if participation here brings you joy and satisfaction, don't give us up!

Wow! Over 100.000 sparkpoints! Congratulations! You'll figure something out; remember it's about healthy choices. Hugs.

Give out a ton of Goodies, so you get rid of some spark points.

Wow, that's a huge accomplishment!!! I'd only do a new account if getting the sparkpoints helps you lose the weight, because after all, the weight loss is the ultimate goal, not the collecting of points.

There is that - what CONNIEMAKS5 said. Even if the points don't continue to earn trophies, you can still use them to buy goodies for others.

I thought when you reach the maximum level of points, the tally keeps adding them and your total continues to increase, it's just that the trophy / award (is it a crown in this case? I think) stays the same, until they add new ones.

I imagine SP will add new levels - they've already done that once or twice, and as time goes on, they will add more. IMHO

Wow you all are awesome! I hope to get there one day and meet all my goals along the way. I didn't even know there was a limit. I thought when I spend them on virtual gifts somehow it would reduce points and make me work for more. I love getting points so I can "buy" the virtual gifts to encourage others.

Yay, (I think? *smiling to myself*) you did it! You reached the top! Did you meet all your goals along the way? emoticon

Hmm, I reached that point a while ago and have been still collecting points. There must be more and more of us reaching this point. I'm only really hanging out in the hopes that they will introduce some new spark trophies for the 200,000 points and onwards. Like you, I know it's only virtual, but I was surprised to find out how much I relied on that encouragement and motivation.

Stick with it emoticon
