I'm really excited about my new chiropractor - we'll call him Dr. Andy. He figured out what the specialist, physical therapist, and other chiropractor never even checked for... He determined that my back pain is a result of unbalanced hips and back muscles that aren't firing correctly and is setting up a 4 week program for me that will involve exercises ("homework") that I'll do on my own as well as twice weekly adjustments. Dr. Andy is also a personal trainer! So he'll be teaching me what exercises I can and cannot do right now and he's been giving me nutrition and weight loss tips as well. I'm allowed to hula hoop but Dr. Andy says I need to hoop in both directions to keep my muscles balanced. So tonight I started to practice hooping with my non-dominant side and I'm pleased with my progress.
