week 2 - meh

All in all not a great week for me. I started strong and then kind of fizzled. Hit my 3 workouts, but only 3. Got in 96+ ounces of water 4 days, but missed even 64 the other 3 day, and snacked almost every night. I'm not sure what happened to my motivation. It's like it was there Tuesday night (last blog) and gone when I got up Wednesday. Maybe I should post a reward for it's safe return?
I've had more fun and games the last few days too. The new soap I'd been using led to a weird itchy rash that has made it really uncomfortable to sweat or exercise, or just to exist really. It was a severe enough reaction that I ended up in the doctor's office today and he gave me an antibiotic and a round of steroids. Good news is that he said I should feel some relief from the steroid within 6 hours of taking it. Bad news is that it hasn't been 6 hours yet. I have hope for the morning, and permission to take Benedryl along with the other meds.
So - overall I'd give the week a D-, but with extenuating circumstances.
On to this week - I need to move my weigh in back to Saturday (from Tuesday) so my next weigh in will be a short week. I actually prefer a mid-week weigh in, but my winter 5% challenge starts soon and those weigh-ins are always on Saturdays. I'm hoping to see at least a partial pound gone by Saturday. I will be focusing on drinking water throughout the day (instead of all at once), exercising as soon as I stop scratching (although at this rate it may actually count as cardio) and cut the night-time snacking. I have 2 more weeks this month to get it right, and then the month of February to add in some more baby steps.
