Still loving the Wii even though it was a lifting day. I did lower body weight lifting and thought I'd get on the Wii to check in and make sure I was still beating my daughter at Super Hoops by doing it again. Nope. Legs said, 'Wobble wobble. Wobble wobble.' There was no arguing with it, either.
I have tried Boxing, but I find it too challenging. You have to coordinate your legs with your arms and move and stuff. Mmm, no. I'm about a step behind and spend more time trying to figure out what "Block" means. After watching it a bunch, I think it just means get back on the board. I never actually got past the tutorial. I may come back to it later, though. I really wanted to like it.
I also have trouble with skateboarding on the Wii. It's all about my center of gravity (they call it balance). I get that my center is off a bit b/c of my weight. They seem to think I need to completely throw myself forward to be "center" and thus to turn forward I have to nearly unbalance myself on the board. I have a tough time with all the lean forward/backward games, too.
I love the obstacle course, but I wish you got more 'lives'. It would be nice to start at the beginning of a level instead of instant death and back to the beginning.
All in all, today is a good day.
