Celebrate Winter Snow - Watching it come down! Jan15

Tuesday, January 15, 2013

Jan15_ Part of celebrating the joy of snow is watching it fall, taking/seeing pictures of scenes with snow falling in them and of course the fun of watching snowglobes.
I don't get good pictures with it snowing but this one is a try...taken the same day as the snowman in Nebraska, taken of it snowing furiously on my SIL's flower garden...It was sooo pretty.
Enjoy and share your memories of a favorite snowstorm.

emoticon 3 years ago on Christmas Eve a Blizzard was blowing in. I was doing Home Health & My Client lived about 1 mile North of My House. Usually I went to her House to fix Dinner and get her to bed, then I would go back around 10 PM to check and make sure she was OK and didn't need anything before My Bedtime.
emoticon At Dinner Time the roads were getting so bad that I decided I would tell her that I would NOT be back at 10. I would just make sure that she had everything she needed and had Snacks and Drinks near the Bed.
emoticon As I started to turn in to her Driveway, my car slid sideways and buried the front end in a DEEP Snow Drift. One of the neighbors came over and we tried to dig the car out -- there was no damage just Snow EVERYWHERE. I called my Hubby and told him not to even try to come get me. The roads were Too Bad, and it was getting Dark, and Still Snowing. We would just wait out the Blizzard. I spent the night with my Client, slept on her Couch, and we had Oatmeal and Hot Chocolate for Christmas Breakfast. Around Noon my Husband walked over and we got the Car out and came home.
emoticon Not quite sure Why, but that is one of my Favorite Christmases.

It is a beautiful picture for sure. I had my share of snow when I lived in NE Pa until 1980 when I moved to Fl.

Thanks for sharing your pic - it doesn't snow much in Texas but we saw flurries this morning. The kids were very excited.
