It's hard to believe NOW that 2010 was the start of my healthy living.
Over the last 2.5 years, I have been worlds more conscious of a healthy lifestyle then every before.
June 2010-August 2011 is the phase of my life that will aways be marked by weight loss. People crowded around me with such love and support that I will never, ever forget.
August 2011-June 2012 is the phase of my life that will be forever remembered as ACTIVE maintenance. Weight loss and weight maintenance was still the number one focus in my life. More than anything else, I put my thoughts and efforts toward healthy living.
However, in the last 6 months, I have learned what it's like to relax into a lifestyle. Most of the time, living healthy and maintaining my weight comes naturally to me. I no longer struggle on a day-to-day basis. That is not to say that there are never weeks where I have to refocus and pay special attention again.. it certainly happens! But at this point in my life, it is more about keeping a healthy outlook and keeping everything in check.
I need to balance my friendships, marriage, job, grad work, home, and healthy lifestyle all at once. I am okay that this sometimes involves give and take. Not every decision is a healthy one, but my life is definitely happy and healthy overall.
After a very busy holiday season, am I precisely at my goal weight? No, but does that mean I never will be again? Am I going to let a slight setback change my overall outlook on life? NO!
It's all about the give and take and that's just that!
