Kung Fu update - Eagle Claw

I've been writing more about my goals and plans lately, so I figured I would change it up a bit by talking about what I'm actually enjoying about my healthy lifestyle.

I am now studying as a blue sash in Kung Fu (6th promotion). For this sash level I am learning Eagle Claw for my open hand form and the Kwan Dao for my weapon form.




Both forms are pretty intense and difficult in their own way, but it is so much fun learning about the forms and doing my best to do them justice. Just holding my hands in the eagle claw fist kills me after 30 minutes! My forearms cramp up and my knuckles are screaming at me, but it's so worth it.

I'm very much looking forward to class tonight and getting my Fu on!

    That's great! I used to take kickboxing but the classes changed and don't fit my schedule anymore... I LOVED IT! I'm glad you found something you love like that. How long have you been doing it? And just make sure you don't eat at least a half hour before class. I did that and I felt like I was going to see it all over again!

    Thanks! Of course because I'm trying to eat less now my body didn't like that during class. I nearly passed out!! I'll have to tweak my diet on Kung Fu days so that I eat plenty before class.
