It is so hard to eat healthy with so many of my favorites being given to me!

The kitchen trials:
2L of Coca-Cola Classic (there were three bottles and I refuse to drink this one)
Lindt 90% Chocolate bar
5 quarts of vanilla ice cream
3lbs of battered french fries
and a can of French's French Fried Onions

Normally I take part in the food shopping, but I focused on other things and left the food selection to the others. The 6L of Coke was a Christmas gift for me only (wish I'd given it away now emoticon ) Now it's time to test my determination and stay away from the extremely yummy stuff.

This is the first time ever I'm going to try planning out meals and snacks in advance. I'm so glad this site has people for support! (Especially since my desk is right next to the kitchen)

    I know what you mean, there are certain foods I simply can't resist. If they're in the house, the only way I can avoid them is to throw them out or give them away!

    I've found that when I put all my meals and snacks for the day in the nutrition tracker in the morning, I do better. Then I just adjust what I've eaten as I go. So, I might assume I'll have 80 grams of orange but I actually had 100 grams. But this way I know that I'll get enough calcium and fiber and that my carbs, protein and fat are balanced. I've also found that when I don't plan ahead, I don't eat as much food, so when evening comes I'm really hungry and it's harder to make good choices then. Good luck with your planning!

    That sounds like a great recipe! I do love chocolate but what really gets me is the soda. I'm okay with not buying juice and soda most of the time, but once it's in the apartment I have a hard time staying away from it.

    Uh oh! Good luck on the avoidance of foods you find yummy. For me, it's always the chocolate. One way or another, I have to find a way to have a chocolatey taste included in my daily nutrition. Some days, I'm really good and keep it to a tablespoon of cocoa powder in my smoothie. Recently found a good brownie cupcake recipe that's only 88 calories each...
