The angry north wind

Monday, January 14, 2013

I ran on Sunday and it was 22 degrees. But I ran anyway. I was able to complete my C25K W6D3 run. I ran 2.2 miles during the 22 minute run. I am proud of myself on several levels.

First, just leaving the house in the cold is a major step for me. I never would have done that before.

Second, I am running further than I have ever run in my life and that includes high school cross country. I want very much to be able to run a full 5k without stopping and training for my portion of the Memorial Marathon may just be the way for me to get there.

I still have weight to lose, but it isn't about that much any more. It is about a happy and healthy me. I am getting there - one run at a time.
