Nothing much just stuff

The service Friday night went well. We had about 23 people to come. It was nice.

Saturday - We had some family over to see our daughter's pictures of her trip to Italy and Greece. It was fun.

Sunday I went to church then came home then worked on homework. Since I am taking internet classes they started a day before campus classes. It is exciting and a bit overwhelming. But I am just going to take it one step at a time and just do my best. That is what I tell my kids as long as they try their best then that is all anyone can ask.

That leads me to my weight loss. Have I done my best. NO emoticon

I don't eat enough veggies. The winter fruit for me is apples and bananas. My family eat too much pastas. I have struggled to change that. We have a 24 year old son with Aspergers and he doesn't like the textures of certain things. But he thinks we have to have pasta ALOT. He loves hamburger and tuna helpers. But I need to also make things that is healthy for us. so I am going to work on cutting down the pasta. I did buy wheat pasta today. So that is a start. I bought some chicken and a turkey breast so I can make things ahead or put in the slow cooker while I am at work.

I guess I better log my food and get to homework,

I'm happy to hear the service went well. Hopefully it brought some closure to everyone.

As far as your family's eating goes - that can be hard to change but I think you are doing the right things. Maybe you can try to have fun with a meal plan? My husband and I use to go out for Taco Tuesdays at the mexican restaurant, but now I cook chicken tacos at home and make my own seasoning. He loves it and it is much healthier!! Maybe you guys can do something like that? Meatless Mondays (this could even be your pasta night)... Taco Tuesdays... Slow Cooker Wednesdays? Have fun with it so that you and your family enjoy it more!
