Day 515 of my fitness streak!

Taking two rest days over the weekend was definitely a good thing. I was ready for my workout at the gym today. I jumped on the treadmill and trotted out 4.5 miles in 53 minutes. That is only a 12 min/mile pace, but I took several walking breaks, so my running pace was closer to a 10 min/mile pace. I also pedaled 3.4 miles, did ST (mostly upper body, as I was pressed for time), and did 5 minutes of stretching. I prefer to do 10 minutes of stretching, but I was really pressed for time today. I also walked 7.3 miles, but Cooper had an easy day and only walked 4.7 miles of that with me. I also put in 30 minutes on the rower and hooped a little.
I had a dentist appointment this afternoon, which is why things were so rushed. So Cooper went off to the farm to play and cuddle, and I went to get tortured. Really, it isn't that bad, but I dislike having someone else's fingers in my mouth... and the noise the instruments make just puts my hackles up. The dentist was very pleased with the state of my mouth though, so that was nice. The hygenist even said that if everyone took care as good care of their teeth then he would be out of a job! (Kudos to me!) I also stopped and filled the gas tank of my dad's truck, and went grocery shopping. Fresh strawberries were on sale this week, so I bought a 2lb box. Yum!
Anyway... That took up pretty much the entire day (between the exercise and the appointment). I am going to go put my feet up now, eat a snack, pet my dog and read a good book. Bliss!
Tomorrow I will be walking, and probably rowing. Other than that I might take it a little easy. The weather has turned chilly again, though it hasn't snowed yet, so walking isn't treacherous. I should take advantage of the clear sidewalks.
