Well, I am halfway into the third week of my detox and adding back some dairy, sweet potatoes, yams, potatoes, corn, peas, bananas, and starches like grains and rice. They never tasted so good! When you are away from a food for awhile, you tend to gain an appreciation of its natural flavor. The first night I had brown rice, I'd thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
I am enjoying the increased energy that comes with this program. Cravings are at bay and I am fully satisfied with no hunger all day long. I am losing weight finally after a year or more of barely maintaining. I am not going to fully add back wheat or dairy products as I think my body reacts to those foods. But I am looking forward to a week of eating natural grains. The sprouted grain bread was to die for and I am having red rice tonight. Yeah! Go for it!
