I had a 12-miler on the schedule for Sunday, and was momentarily taken aback by the temperature when I got up - 19?? Wha..?? Here in Western WA we don't see temps like this often and it makes me doubly grateful for our usual milder climate. And props to those of you who get your sweat on in those kind of temps all winter long - you rock! Anyway, I timed my run to coincide with the Seahawks playoff game, thinking that if I wasn't watching, I couldn't be blamed for jinxing them if they lost LOL. Was sad to hear the final score when I stopped in for a post-run coffee - so close!
But the run was excellent - just a little bit of glute discomfort, knees were fine, feet were fine, pace was nothing spectacular, but strong and steady. The air was so crisp and clear, the sky so blue, and I was kept company by several V's of Canada geese that flew by, honking loud enough to be heard over my iPod. Pretty amazing birds to watch, aren't they? All in all, it was a great run!
Then home for chores, dinner and getting ready for the work week. I'm gonna make it a good one!
Happy Monday, everybody!
