    Great Vlog. I felt like you were talking with me personally. I'm so glad you are showing yourself some grace during this period of your life. It's very wise and healthy of you.
I believe that my knee and foot injuries are from me ignoring my body and pushing it too hard in recent years in order to reach my fitness goals... not only did I not reach my goals, now I have injuries to deal with. You are so right on in suggesting we reassess our expectations and perhaps set the bar a little lower for a while.

I know it hurts when you can't control things in your life or with your body, but you are really handling them very gracefully. I believe your body with thank you for your consistency in time

    When I first started my weight loss journey, 5 years ago now, I struggled with this too. My expectations were not realistic and I found myself easily discouraged. With the support of my husband, then boyfriend, I was able to take a step back and see what it was really going to take to reach my goals. I reached my goal once. I am working toward reaching that goal again (but even healthier this time for the long term), and trying to remind myself that it takes time. I understand how tough not having answers is. I just got mine about 2 months ago... you are in my thoughts & prayers that you receive your answers as well.

    Very encouraging! I read this line in a book the other day, "Sow expectations, reap regrets." I don't know if that is always true but I completely agree with you that setting expectations for ourselves that are too lofty, or currently unattainable can be way more damaging than we think. Small, attainable goals are definitely the way to go so that we don't become overwhelmed by the pressure that those expectations are putting on us. I think I am definitely suffering under the weight of my own expectations and I think you did a great job of taking a difficult situation and re-focusing that situation so that you can carry on. This vlog is great advice!
