That's how I felt yesterday running loops on the bike path - it was only cleared a couple of miles & despite the fact that the snow at home is now gone, where it wasn't cleared was still snowy & icy.
So I looped . . . and I looped . . . and I looped until I'd run 7 miles.
It sort of reminded me of my entire weight loss journey . . . back & forth & back again until, hopefully, I finish. Altho of course you NEVER finish. The last 20 yrs certainly have taught me that!
I ran 7 mles in 1 hr 24 minutes, while at the same time, pretty much, one of my husband's former coworkers finished a HM! Now THAT'S fast. I'm still proud of my effort. For me, it was a pretty good time.
It didn't feel easy . . . I had to push myself . . . until about miles 5-7 where suddenly I was able to lean into it just right & I ran faster than I'd planned to, without it seeming hard. I sure hope I can recapture that feeling!
And yes, THAT made me think of losing wight, too. How much easier it feels when leaning into it (taking baby steps) vs making huge changes.
