1.A hot drink made by infusing the dried, crushed leaves of the tea plant in boiling water.
2.The dried leaves used to make such a drink.
So, I have what's called GERD's and lately it has gotten SO extremely bad! Mornings would be okay, but by mid to late afternoon, it would start to get so bad that I could not sit without discomfort and pain. So last night, as I'm sipping my evening tea (a BIG HUGE mug) I decided to do some internet searching as to why I feel this way. A couple of days ago I went back to my strict gluten free diet and this has helped some. But again by mid afternoon, I started to hurt again. I take a omeprazole once in the morning and decided I need to go back to taking it twice a day once again. This did not really show much results. So I got to thinking, what have I been doing lately that is different then what I use to do. TEA! I started drinking a LOT of tea! So I googled this and one website did say that some herbal teas may contribute to GERD's acting up. WOOLAH! But the research also said that I may have "anxiety". GREAT! So one step at a time. I am due for my annual in March. Between now and then, I will stop drinking tea and see what happens. I'm so bummed though, because I gave up alcohol nearly a year ago for GERD's (and other reasons), and thought now I had found the greatest and healthest substitute drink to soothe my mind, my soul, and my evenings. Now what? Any suggestions? I am going to take up yoga once again for my evening relaxation. But I need a good evening, non alcoholic, sugar free, carbonated free drink...besides WATER! I love water and drink it all day long....it gets boring....HELP!
SO for now, by George, I think I found my answer to my stomach problem! YAY!!
