Making the better choice

Monday, January 14, 2013

My week-ends , I usually get of track when hubby is home. This week-end on Saturday ,we worked on the house and done good on eating. Sunday. we went on a date, he said we didn't get to take time for ourselves . We drove to Gatlinburg to have lunch, diner, it was kind of both. Although he didn't eat right , he had a big baked potato, with butter and sour cream and four rolls, a chopped steak, with mushrooms and onions , salad, and a sweet tea mind you he is Diabetic too. I to could of went that way, I did have the same steak ( but I brought part of it home) a salad, and steamed broccoli, and one roll, unsweetened tea. Last night I had a yogurt and some blueberries. I am so glad I passed on the potato , and brought part of the steak home. We had a great time and that is better then being stressed out. He said he knew ,he didn't eat right, but he had fun. He goes to doctor tomorrow and he said his sugar was going to be up, so he knows. Maybe he will do better afterward. I too, have to go to doctors tomorrow, two of them, one for follow up,the other one heart doctor. One is at 7.30 and the other one 12.30. This will take up most of my day, but in between them , I am going to curves. I will need it after sitting at one then going to another one to sit. I am going to get dress and go to curves now and go clean a house. This elderly lady is a good friend, I will clean for awhile and talk for awhile. She always ask me about my weight loss and encourages me. So off to get my motivation. Have a great day. emoticon emoticon

Great! It is hard to eat right when you are eating with someone who is eating everything and then some. You did what was best for you. Keep on doing that, it will pay off.

Wow--you did really, really well at the restaurant, and I think it's great that your going to Curves between doctor visits. That shows real spunk and determination. My DH is diabetic too, and had a bad doctor visit the other day which has resulted in him deciding to really start watching what he's eating. I'm glad he made that decision, because it sure helps me stay in line when I don't have to watch him eat foods I know I shouldn't eat. This will make it easier on us both. Maybe your hubby will do that too--especially after he sees how well you're doing.

Keep up the really excellent work!

My husband doesn't work on his weight either but he should. Good for you for keeping it together at a restaurant.

WTG!!!! You stuck to your guns and feel better for it. I love going to curves too. I plan that into my day also and it feels great to be taking care of myself. I hope you good choices help your Hubby to see he can have a ggod time and yet eat properly.

Good for you watching the portion size. It is tempting to overboard at restaurants since there is so much food and the portion sizes are usually excessive.

Keep being a positive model for your husband. I'm SO GLAD that my wife is for me!

    Make it a great day!
