So this is my first blog entry I'll start off by telling you that I have a habit of rambling on a lot! So don't say you weren't warned.
Well I've been a member on here for a few years now about 3 or so. I've managed to lose weight but then I'd always gain it back. But 2013 is my year! I'm going to make 13 my lucky number not a bad one. =)
I started working out on Jan. 3 (so about 10 or so days ago) I am doing the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home program. I'm so out of shape though right now so I'm starting out with only 1 mile a day. And then after a full month I'll switch to 2 miles and so an and so forth until I work my way up to 5 miles. Then after about 6 months I want to start incorporating yoga and strength training I use to love using kettle bells. I also love kickboxing and dancing but I'm not very coordinated so I was thinking of maybe trying step aerobics.
As for diet I've been eating a healthy breakfast everyday, it's either a yummy salad or a fruit smoothie both of which I add hemp seeds to. Now I know when I say hemp seeds a lot of people think of drugs, but it is completely THC free, no drugs in hemp seeds. They are an amazing plant source of omega-3's and proteins. 3 tbsp of hemp seeds a day gives you all the omega-3's you need. So as of right now I eat about 1 to 2 tbsp with my breakfast every morning. It also helps you feel full longer. So healthy breakfast and then the rest of the day I eat whatever sounds good I just try not to over do it. And I try to drink plenty of water.
So the results thus far? After 10 days I've lost 5.5 lbs!!! Which is really awesome it's nice to see progress to keep you motivated. I know it will slow down the more I lose, but that is a great start! Can't wait to see what the future holds!
