The moment of truth...weigh and measure day:

Start weight for me 160.4 pounds,
Current weight, 156.4 pounds
That is a total of 4 pounds lost in 2 weeks.

Best part is that almost EVERY measurement went down, between 1/2 and one inch.
For a total of 6 1/2 inches all around...( in other words I added up all the "lost inches")

For the rest of you, you do not have to give me your weight #, just TOTAL inches lost and total pounds lost, if any.
You SHOULD have a change in one of these if not both.

Let me know...can't wait to hear. those that started late....let me know anyways.

I'm also glad of the accountability - have been tracking again since just before the end of last year - and admitted to pig-fests at grandson's birthday BBQ, chocs that were belated Christmas gift, and another lot brought by incoming Swiss student - oh why do they produce Lindt??

Did well with the no-hard-cheese plan - people noticed a firmer behind :)
Weight down by 1kg = 2.2lbs.
Didn't take measurements

Other NSV - not entirely due to this challenge - in fact, due to hard work throughout 2012 - accountability again??

Cholesterol - down
Glucose - down
BP - steady and very healthy

What's next, Mel?
Whatever it is, I'm sticking to the no grains or added sugars, no hard cheese and I'm going to pay close attention to carbs

    Accountability time!
The weight is about the same as when I started but when I measured the inches, I was surprised! I lost about the same as LIS93- 3 1/4 inches.
I'll get the weight moving more the next part of the challenge as I pledge to record every bite I eat.
I love being sugar and white flour independent! Feel great and ready for more.

Challenge is awesome, I agree with Lis193 - I needed the accountability to think more about the decisions I was making. It kept me more honest when I might otherwise have taken a short cut.

Weight - unchanged :( although I didn't expect a big change and I did forget to weigh in as soon as I got up and I "gain weight" within half an hour of getting up so will weigh again tomorrow for the fun of it. (well, we'll call it fun!)

Feel good about the inches though - all measurements decreased somewhat (biggest decrease was in hips and leg :) for a grand total of 2.75 inches.

I'm not jumping for joy, but I'm definitely satisfied. I know somethings going right because people are noticing - they might not be able to put their finger on exactly what's changed, but I'm having people say how energized I look, have I changed something? Somethings different, but what. That does make me smile from ear to ear.

What day 14 has done is motivated me to really do even more from day 15-30. I am adding a decrease in my salt intake even though that wasn't on the list. I know it's something I should do though so I'm adding it to my own. :)

    Start weight - 151.6
Day 14 - 146.0
Lost 5.6 pounds :)

Inches lost - a little here and there for a total of 3-1/2 inches lost.

The challenge is going really well for me. I needed the accountability the first few days to get me going and now I WANT to eat well and no longer have the cravings for crackers and cheese and peppermint candy during the day. I love experimenting with new recipes and so far so good!
The biggest thing these last 2 weeks have been the support in this group and the feeling of being in control of my eating again.

A big thank you to you Mel - our fearless leader!
