I have not abandoned you all, I am just super busy with school and work right now. I am trying to finish my school ahead of schedule so that I can focus more time on my older daughter for her graduation from high school.
On to the topic in the title of the blog. Today I turned 41 and I am at peace with the growing old gracefully. I may have to get older but that doesn't mean I have to grow up
Today started off with breakfast in bed, made by my youngest daughter. Then it was time to get up and get going for the day, at which point my older child gave me the game her and her sister had picked out for me. I got Fable III: The Journey for the XBox 360 and it works solely with the Kinect so that means that it is more active than just sitting there with a controller (have not tried it yet but will). The hubster gave me a $50 gift card to the book store so many choices so little time to choose today.
Then it was off to watch The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. OMG I was so happy with this movie. It really didn't feel like 3 hours in the theatre at all. It was beautifully filmed and very well acted. I can't wait for the remaining movies to this (there is supposed to be 2 more but I am not sure they can stretch it that far). I would have worn my LOTR ring but it is too big now and I was afraid of losing it, but I did wear my TARDIS earrings that I got from my older daughter during the summer.
Today was a near perfect day. The only thing I wasn't happy about is I needed to buy new pants for work and couldn't find any that fit and were in my price range. Oh well, I had fun with my family and that is all that matters.
