Had a nice morning at church. No negative incidents for Maegann at all for the first time in months so that was a blessing. We also found out more about the Assoc. Pastor's departure so will be interesting to watch how that plays out in the future. We were told his contract wasn't renewed due to compatibility of the staff for the future direction of the church. Regardless, I will miss him. He was the first Pastor to really give Maegann a place of service in worship and he was easy to work with for the co-op.

Isaac went to a friend's home all afternoon so that offered Tim and I a chance to work through the information we needed before our training and to begin putting a plan together to find services/therapies for him without him hearing all the things we were discussing. Nice having a start on this as it is required. Will see what our Support Broker has to offer to actually get it put together right.

I tried baking the same italian bread I made for the first time a couple weeks ago to go with spaghetti for dinner tonight. It raised beautifully but still baked only 2" tall! Now I'm researching as it calls it a Foacchia (not sure how it is spelled) bread and I'm wondering if it should be that thin. This time it did bake more evenly through the center though so wasn't nearly as gooey.

Yesterday we received the notification that one of our sponsored children had graduated from the program (we expected it anytime) and they sent a profile for one to replace her. We are now adding Rica Mae who also lives in the Philippines. She is 13. Must add "write letters and send pictures" to my list of things to do this week.

Tomorrow... co-op day. I'm ready!

All the Foacchia bread I've ever had is rather thin. Almost like a flat bread and soooo good!

Sounds like you had a pretty nice Sunday. Hope everything at the church works out. Personnel changes always bring some sort of "issues". Have a great Monday at co-op!

I don't know Nellie.... I think there is totally a chance it has to do with the "programs" or direction/vision that the Sr. Pastor and board have planned. Sort of like how people prefer one church over another because of the things that are offered. Scott came under the previous pastor and when the current one came on staff he chose to keep the current people (Scott is the only one left of that prior staff.) because he really didn't know them or what their vision of what a congregation should look like and the new pastor was coming into a mess. I would not doubt that there was some conflict, but it wasn't a firing due to not getting along. Been through enough of those firsthand to feel the difference. I've also spoken with Scott over the last few months and know he had some frustration over some decisions made in the direction some things were going, but he was also able to say "I love my job and the people here so I'll do what I can to support it."

I think the word is Focaccia. When I looked it up the pictures showed bread that did appear to be about 2" thick.

I hesitated to say this, but the wording about the associate pastor in relation to compatibility of staff makes me somewhat nervous that there were personality conflicts. If he seemed to be a pleasant person, I would be wondering how come some didn't get along with him. But since you are there and I am not, I will leave it to you to figure out.

You are doing great about the snacks!
