My S.M.A.R.T. Goals

I just finished my session with SparkCoach where Coach Nicole discussed the importance of S.M.A.R.T. goals. So I thought I would focus tonight's blog on the success of the past two weeks and define my goals in a S.M.A.R.T way! SMART being....Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.

I've had great success over the past 13 days...I followed my plan, started to exercise again and even joined the January Fitness Bootcamp team on SparkPeople. I can feel a difference in the fit of my cloths and I think the scale will be favorable tomorrow morning when I weigh-in. I've cooked everyday this week with recipes from Sparkrecipes with great success and am looking forward to finding some more family favorites.

Now on to my Mini-goal for the next 4 weeks.

S- Lose a total of 14lbs by February 14th
M- I will have to lose at least 2lbs per week for the next 4 weeks
A- 2lbs per week is an attainable weigh loss goal
R- 2lbs per week is also a realistic goal for me
T- breaking my weight loss journey into small sections will make it easier to get to the main goal of losing 40-50lbs.

So this is what I will focus on for the next 4 weeks! I will check back in mid way to report on my success and failures and lessons learned!
