Comparison Cycling Photos

Left: Oct 2012 at 235 lbs ------ Right: Jan 2013 at 204lbs

So anyone who has ever followed my blog before knows that I struggle with seeing the difference in the mirror, and honestly - the scale and I have a love-hate relationship. Photos however, have been very effective for me to look back and recognize the changes so that I can adjust my mental image

I really buckled down and started working hard around three months ago. In that time I have lost 31 lbs, and I am happy to say I can see the difference in the photos. The left one above was taken the first week of Oct 2012, one on the right was today (67 degrees here in WV - mid January thaw!)

The photo below is from July (about the same weight that I was at the beginning of October, about 235) and the comparison is from today at 204.

Hope these help inspire any of you who have been a stuck like I was for most of the past 2 years...you can relight that fire!!

That is one amazing transformation. I don't mean the 31 pounds, I'm talking figure. We can lose weight sitting in a chair and starving. You changed your whole body shape. I would think your weight loss is closer to 36 lbs with a 5 lbs muscle gain. Everyone can see the facial difference (1st pic) and the waist/abs (2nd pic). I hope you can see the deltoids definition and the new tighter forearms.

I applaud you. My own workouts have let me know how much effort you have put in. You are AMAZING. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Those photos sure do provide a great view of your progress. I totally agree, victories are not only accomplished on the scale but how you look, feel, and on how clothes fit. These continue to provide me with the fuel to keep on pushing even when the scale is not moving!

Wonderful job Hollynn!

You look great. Keep up the good work. We have been warmer here on Long Island (NY) too but it's been cloudy/foggy/drizzle at the same time. So not able to enjoy as much. Your doing so well since your comeback. I myself began a week ago and lost 9lbs just from eating a little better. Slow and steady. I'm looking forward to this year like it was 2009!

Take care and stay healthy

Mike
