So this week I worked my butt off. I tracked everything that I put into my mouth, stayed within my calorie range, went over my fitness minutes and calories to burn by almost 1,000 and was excited to step on the scale this morning. Well didn't that number on the digital scale in my bathroom hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. 2 pounds down? Wait this cant be right, lets try this again. WHAT??? Still the same result...how can this be only 2 pounds!
Needless to say I wanted to freak out, I wanted to throw my arms up and say "screw this". I wanted to get in the car, drive to Dunkin Donuts and get a couple of glazed donuts and eat every last bite.
Then I stopped, paused and thought "well how typical of you Alyssa, go eat your disappointments away". That thought pissed me off more than only losing two pounds, I mean a loss is a loss right? So instead of Dunkin Donuts I chose Special K cereal, and a 60 minute Zumba video instead... And you know what? I felt great, happy and proud of myself for making the right choices that put me back on track to start the new week!
Well I take this weeks two and hopefully I'll add two more this week and the following week as well. It will add up, I just need to keep the drive going!
