Conquering that Elliptical Trainer

Sunday, January 13, 2013

I've struggled with this contraption for ages. A few minutes now and then with longer sessions at times. But, as a regular cardio challenge, I've not succeeded with this. However, today was my third day in a row. The first day was just 20 minutes before weight training session. Yesterday, I did 30 minutes of pretty intense work. Then today I actually managed another's 30 minutes followed by about 25 minutes of weights an then finished up with 20 minutes on the treadmill. Wow! Is this a fluke or can I keep going for awhile! I'm not sure, but I'm hoping for the best and I'm hoping that I'll lose some weight and get a bit stronger along the way. But,mostly, I hope this will be the beginning of the end of my all or nothing attitude. Thanks, Spark Coach! emoticon

That is fantastic! I use mine for tabata also. I go to and set the clock for a few minutes of warmup and time enough to get on it.

And this morning.... after I did mine.... I asked DH if he wanted to try it, and he did!! emoticon

I had to move mine from our "work out room" downstairs, which we never go to, and I moved it all the way to the family room that DH and I use. I did this by taking it outside and around the house and then in through the front door. And then once a month, I get a good work out by taking it to our bedroom, to make room for family dinner.

Anyways, I love mine and it sounds like you are doing great!!!

Good for you! I'm still trying to build up time on that thing, but 10 min. kills me! I just switch to it once in awhile at the gym to trick my body as I typically go to the treadmill.

wow, I can not do 5 minutes on that thing. It doesn't help that I have no idea what I am doing on it!! 30 minute is amazing. Keep up the great work!

Good for you--30 minutes! You must be getting strong. I find the elliptical the hardest contraption of all.
