Hopping right back on the saddle again

Hello my name is Shani and I am a Foodaholic!!!! Oh dear...why do I have to love food so much????????????

So....here is my confession. The day started GREAT!!!! I've had a wonderful week!!!! Feeling so on track!!!!! Got up early today to go for a wonderful run with my husband because I knew it way going to be a busy day.

One of my best friends was having a 40th birthday party. I went. I was hungry when I went...but had a post run smoothie between the run and the party so I wouldn't be hungry or too tempted by the food. But...the food won today. I got very hungry at the party because the food was served a bit late...and on days that I run I get very hungry. It also didn't help that ALL my favorite foods were there. Bagels, lox, cream cheese, whitefish salad, sweet kugel. For dessert were petit fours and cup cakes.

I feel like crap now. Drank a detox green smoothie drink. For dinner if I get hungry I'll have some sushi that is in the fridge that I bought. That's it!!!! And lots of water!!!!!

So here is to ridding my body of sugar once again!!!!!

    Wouldn't life be easier without having to eat? LOL...Look at the positives...you RAN today, you spent TIME with people you care about, and it was ONE meal, that's it:). Tomorrow is a new day and a new week, and I know you will get right back in the saddle again:)

    Hi Shani, I think it is only natural to be hungry on days you have been running because you are using up fuel. I agree, tomorrow you can get back to eating other things that aren't so sugary and it will balance itself out. All that water plus the green smoothie are bound to help as well!

    Ya, it basically sucks being addicted to something you HAVE to have to live. That's what makes it SO hard...finding the happy medium with food. Like you said...right back on that saddle, girl!!! emoticon

    Don't be so hard on yourself! It was ONE meal... ONE!!!!
    That's it!
    I am sure it won't affect the scale all that much. If I have learned anything from the past couple of weeks it is that it is not just OK to indulge in my favorites every once in a while... It is actually NECESSARY for my success!!!!
    I don't see this as a bad thing. Just move on and continue to make those better choices.

    It is hard to detox from sugar, but I think I have managed it with the seven day juice detox I'm on day five of. You might want to think about detoxing from sugar with juices or green smoothies.
