I think yesterday's funeral of his cousin touched my husband the way I was hoping,

Sunday, January 13, 2013

My husbands cousin was only 20 yrs older than him when he died of a heart attack on New Years Day, the service was yesterday and I think it touched him like I was hoping it would. So a few days ago when I realized I was getting bigger cause of drinking all my calories from 2-3 xs of hot cocoa to combat the cold house;) and when hubby wanted me to drink more hot cocoa and I refused and said no if I do that " ill be drinking too many calories for the day." Low and behold day after the funeral I ended up sparking my husband :) I asked him if he wanted whipped cream on top of his hot cocoa like he usually does and he said"let's not add insult to injury I'm all ready drinking my calories with the hot cocoa." I gave him a hug and said that's the sweetest thing you've ever said in a long time.

It's cloud and silver lining stuff, isn't it? I do hope your husband's new habit keeps on - it's a good sign that the motivation is coming from him. emoticon

My condolences to you and your family. I always find it so sad that it takes something like this to make us think about our health and then I turn around and say "at least it did make us think"! So I guess there is always a positive and a negative let's hope the positive sticks!
