My rest day, and my awesome family

Well, I had a wonderful day with hubby yesterday. We celebrated my birthday a bit early, (it's Tues) so we went out for breakfast, out for dinner, to Navy Pier, and to a bookstore. Awesome day! By the time we both got home we were tired and feeling a bit rumbly in the tummy. I think we both had too much dairy; something we haven't had in a long time. We're not allergic, exactly, but we started subbing the soy for dairy when we discovered it helped with my seizures, and now our tummies don't seem to like it.

We got up this morning, Hubby was feeling fine, I'm still a bit worn out. My MIL came over, and has been cleaning up for us a bit. Chris has been awesome and doing some vacuuming and laundry for us too :) They've both been really understanding that I'm still a bit worn out. Tracking and catching up here has been about as much as I can handle today. Chris well be doing some grocery shopping when his mom leaves, and I'll probably take a nap.

I have finally given myself permission to do what I NEED to do in this pregnancy - rest, eat well, exercise when I can, ect. The resting and asking for help has been HARD for me; I'm used to trying to do as much as possible on my own. I'm trying to modify things into smaller chunks (like my 10-15 minute blocks of exercise) so I'm still getting things done but not overdoing it. Today tho, unless I feel better after the nap, will probably be a yoga-only day; I just don't have the energy for more than that. But that's okay, I did LOTS of walking yesterday, not to mention some dancing, and some yoga.

    always good to take a rest day. Have to take care of the body so it will work hard to reach your goal...Enjoy your rest

    Sleep is critical. The most important thing now is to take care of yourself, so don't feel bad about it. I'm glad you have two people who love you so much and that they're willing to pitch in to ease your workload.
