How I Did the Virtual Sticky Notes

Several people have asked me about the reminder notes that I wrote about in the previous blog. I am just feeling my way around as a computer user, but here is what I can tell you.
Last year I did it on our PC and I think this is the free software I used. http://download.cnet.com/Simpl
I believe that version puts the notes directly on your computer desktop. A menu at top changes colors and such.
This time I used a sticky note app that came with the iPad mini. You just click where you want a new note to be, and you can move it around after that, change the color & font, etc. Then I took a screen capture, which takes a picture of whatever is on the screen at the moment. It is stored in photos. Then using Settings -- Wallpaper , I set that image for my background.
Sorry I'm not more clear about the instructions. If you have questions I'll be happy to try to answer them.
I do think the reminders are helping me. I change one or two every few days, depending on the topic I need a nudge for!
