Been away from Spark for a few days. My dear friend had emergency surgery while she was out of town to bury her sister. She ended up with a blockage that required them to remove six inches of her intestines. (She is 86 and still works 4 days a week) Anyway, her family did not want her to be alone while they were all at the funeral so they asked if I could come and be with her. So I made arrangements to make the trip to Valdosta. The night before, my car decides it isn't going to make the trip. Transmission repairs. So I rent a car and head out. Thankfully I was able to couch surf at my sisters.
My friend is healing nicely, but deeply saddened that she couldn't be a the funeral. I am thankful that God provided me with the means to sit with her.
Now I am tired from the journey and sad that she will remain in the hospital for at least four more days.
Thanks for letting me ramble and I sure would appreciate prayers for her.
