Epic Fail (not really!)

Sunday, January 13, 2013

Tried adding 1/2 cup fat free greek yogurt and 1/2 cup almond milk to my blueberry chia seed smoothy this morning.

Usually I add JUST yogurt or JUST almond milk and I have never had any problems.

This hybrid experiment did not taste bad, but it had an odd, solid-curdled texture and the look of it sort of grossed me out, but sort of made me laugh so I just had to share my lesson for the day:

The journey to heath and fitness is not for the faint of heart.

I wonder if you froze it if it would be more like ice cream.

Hmmm...looks better suited to being spread on a bagel than drunk as a smoothie.

Perhaps a blind folded taste test would have been better.

When "curdled" is part of the description, it doesn't matter how good it tastes. Ugh! Good work trying something new!

I usually add 1 cup of Almond milk to my protein shake and it gets pretty smooth. I also add the Greek Yogurt along with protein powder and fruit.
