I love Women's Week. I pick it up at the grocery store faithfully. I can't help but notice there is always a "diet of the week" immediately preceded or followed by the ubber calorie of the week menus and recipes. Just saying...what?
Anyway, this week's diet of the week is calorie cycling, where you alternate 1K days and 2K days. Sounds interesting to me, because I messed up my metabolism back in "the day" by being anorexic, even before Karen Carpenter. I didn't eat for 6 weeks. Amazing, I don't have that kind of will power now. Of course I was text book waiting to happen, once everyone knew the symptoms and psychology of the condition.
Now if I skip or skim on a meal my body is going, "here she goes again, hold on to every calorie," just in case the famine is coming.
I think I will give this a try. 1,000 for one day, knowing I get 2,000 the next day? I think I can handle that. Well, I'm off to set this week's menus. Wish me luck...Ginny4820
