Jump rope fact

I just read a spark people blog written by a personal trainer. She says that:
10 minutes of jump roping (at 120 turns a minute) burns the same calories as 30 minutes of jogging!

That sounds great to me. I am going to get serious about jump roping. emoticon

    I bought a jump rope a couple of years ago and have yet to use it! I really should get it out and make use of it. Thanks for a blog to hopefully push me to do it! Burn, burn, burn those calories!

    Isn't it funny... when we were kids we could jump rope for hours at a time... I was always a very "round" child but I could sustain... didn't think of it as exercise... and all those games where you had to run in and out of the rope without missing a link... stamina, timing, skill... where did it all go?

    I think we discovered pop stars, make up, clothes and boys instead and used all our stamina, timing and skill on them!

    I may need to find my rope, too! And a higher ceiling unless I can figure out how to jump rope on slushy ice ... emoticon
