Yesterday was the best day! I had a horseshoe tournament in Raleigh, and the weather was amazing! The average temperature here this time of year is 55 degrees & yesterday is was 75 and sunny. I pitched pretty well; it wasn't the best tournament of my life, but I only lost two games. After doing some research online I found that at my weight i burned 290 calories per hour & I pitched for 3.5 hours! So, if you want a really fun work out, start pitching horseshoes! You can have a great time with friends, travel, and burn a ton of calories!

Yes, this really is a thing. I have been pitching with the National Horseshoe Pitcher's Association for 10 years and I love it! I have some tournaments that are close to home and some to which travel. The World tournament is the one I generally travel the farthest to, but it's still usually held in the States or Canada. I love traveling so, so that's never a problem for me. The great thing about this sport is that it is very low cost. I pay less than $25 for my annual dues, and average $10 (more for big tournaments) for an entry fee to most tournaments. You don't have to make it to every tournament either, you pick which tournaments you go to. The only other cost is buying a pair of horseshoes, which are steel so they last forever. If you want more info about this send me a message, leave a comment, or check out the website above. Otherwise, that's the end of this infomercial.

We now return to our regular scheduled blogging. I drank tons of water yesterday because you get really thirsty pitching in the sun. I didn't keep track, but I know it was more than 8 glasses. I only at a biscuit for breakfast on the way to the courts, then I ate Japanese food for dinner at 7 last night. I don't like to eat when I'm pitching, so I had a ton of calories last night when I got ready to eat. I still only ate hibachi vegetables and a cup of fried rice with no shrimp sauce, but it was nice that I didn't have to count calories (I did anyways). I also had a little nsa frozen yogurt for dessert, which I don't make a habit of since I gave up sugar.

Hope everyone had a great day!
