Wow, just reading posts answering your blog...has really motivated me as well! I agree, working out is a need to, not always a want to....until you get addicted to the good feeling of accomplishment, see results, and know that "you are worth it!" Find your nitch, get good at it, stay focussed on what it is that you like and want to do, and dont listen to others unless they are backing you up and supportive of your goals. You are smart to reach out to others, there are some really solid answers here, we have been there and done that ourselves once or twice before! ***SNOW*** emoticon

Don't wait for motivation, it may elude you. I think it's a matter of "fake it till you make it" so whatever it is you want to do for your workout, go and do it, whether or not you "feel like it". You need to find a time that works into your schedule, whether that means you take a walk at lunch, get up early to so some body work (squats/lunges/push-ups can be done practically anywhere) or hit the gym on the way home, just make it happen. Some days will feel like a chore, and others will be so wonderful, you'll wonder where the time went.

I wonder if part of the problem is you don't have a workout or activity you feel passionate about. If you love doing something (playing a sport, running, bicycling, hiking, skiing) you will find the time to do it, and it won't feel like work. Find that and you won't have to find motivation, it will find you.

I research a lot to keep me motivated. I always have plans for next month and find new meals to incorporate better eating and cleaner eating. I also like blogs for motivation, or pictures and a "goal board", which is just pictures of my favorite quotes or what I looked like when I started, it reminds me of how far I've come.
One of my favorite sayings tells us that It is hard to stay motivated, but motivation is like showering and is recommended daily.
Push yourself and keep working!

Truth is, I don't always have the motivation to workout all the time either. Sometimes I workout when I don't want to. Some days it feels like a chore & I hate it the whole time. But, I don't always like to cook dinner or go to work or wash dishes, but I do those things when I'm not motivated too - because sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do, because we are responsible adults.
We allow ourselves excuses to not workout instead of making it a priority like we should. Schedule at least 15 mins of workout time in each day, do it whether you want to or not. It gets easier the more you do it.

I struggle with this each day. Try to incorperate small bits of activity at first, then as you feel better add a little more!
