Lost 8 pounds since starting to log food on SP in November, so that's a good thing. All blood readings (cholesterol etc.) are normal, so that's something to be proud of. But my glucose levels have been way too high. The doctor switched me to metformin, and other than bouts of nausea, I haven't seen much of a difference. I know I need to be patient and wait for the meds to fully kick in (the nausea is already getting better), and I need to exercise daily and limit my carb intake to get a true reading of what is really going on in my body. Until then, my doctor and I won't have enough data to make decisions about further treatment. I know it's a marathon and not a sprint, blablabla. But tonight is one of those rare nights when I can't get to sleep because I'm worried about my health.

    Nights are difficult. I suggest reading inspirational stories or devotions to give your mind a mini-vacation. You have accomplished much. As you are doing the best you can remind yourself of that.

    I understand. Most of the time it's enough to know that you are working towards health, but once in a while Worry Mind takes over in the middle of the night. I hate that too

Hang in there and just take one day at a time.
