Well, this week's certainly been a mixed bag!
Mister's grandma went into hospital Tuesday and came home today... Still not 100%. The entire week was thrown off, with Mister forfeiting work hours and thereby money we desperately need, but of course I told him to put his family first. We'll figure it out; we always do.
The chaos threw off all of my lofty plans this week, including working out, catching up on a long to-do list and so on. I did manage to work in a couple intense workouts, but I'd been hoping to do smaller ones daily. As a result, my ankle is very ticked off at me for the strain. Oh well!
But on the good side, I scored a job interview for Monday - please wish me luck because I desperately need to lock this down (or any job) by the end of the month.
Another good side: Mister keeps saying the scale at the gym says he's 20 pounds lighter than ours does, which struck me as weird since I check the scale by weighing a dumbell now and then and it's definitely not THAT far off. Yesterday, a coworker told him that the gym scale is too low, but I also conducted an experiment: at my doctor's appointment, I weighed in on their scale and then came home without eating or drinking anything new and weighed in on my scale in the exact same clothes, same pocket contents, etc.
Home scale clocked 7.5 pounds higher than the doctor!
I'm not foolish enough to believe doctor has a perfect scale, but it's much better quality than ours. Plus, in terms of a medical procedure I want done when I hit goal weight, their numbers are what count.
My solution: I weigh in at home, deduct 7 pounds then round up to next pound, even if it's blah blah point two pounds. I figure in the end it'll be fairly accurate.
So now, my ticker verges on the first short term goal line! How nice! Have to say, given jeans sizes and such and past weights, I really couldn't fathom how I was the size I was and X weight... Now it makes sense!
